About

Our service is aimed at students and staff at the universities in Manchester – MMU, the University of Manchester and the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM). However, our services are also open to the general public should they wish to use them.

We have two bases in the university areas of Manchester – a Drop-in Centre at MMU Students Union on Oxford Road, and offices within the MMU Business School on their Aytoun Campus. This makes us easily accessible from the MMU, University of Manchester and RNCM campuses.

“Informative, friendly, fast, very reasonably priced.
I felt extremely confident in the work done and leaving my laptop. Brilliant, thanks!”

History

ITmanchester is a university spin out from the Manchester Business School, the University of Manchester. It was conceived whilst the founders read for postgraduate degrees at the Manchester Enterprise Centre (MEC) and was founded when they graduated in 2007. The company soon moved to offices at the MMU Graduate Business Incubator Unit at the MMU Business School. This is still the company’s main office and provides the perfect base from which to serve the university populations of Manchester. Located on the MMU Aytoun campus it provides easy access from this campus as well as the University of Manchester’s North Campus. In September 2008 we expanded to the MMU All Saints Campus on Oxford Road where we run a Drop-in Centre at the MMU Students Union. This provides easy access from the Oxford Road Corridor and the other MMU, University of Manchester and RNCM campuses.

Green

We care about the environment. We minimise our impact on the environment wherever possible and try to encourage our customers to do the same. Here’s a few ways we look out for the environment:

  • We fix computers which save students and staff having to buy new ones
  • We dispose of all damaged electronic equipment responsibly so that it doesn’t go to landfill
  • All our staff travel to work, between our premises, and to callouts by foot, bike and public transport

If you want to find out more information about our environmental measures, or have some suggestions of your own, then please get in touch. We love chatting about green things!
